Short version: we republish public government records to businesses. We don't buy consumer data, we don't sell your information, and we don't track you across the web.

What we publish

Our reports consist of contractor licence records published by the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation under Chapter 119, Florida Statutes, and equivalent public records from other jurisdictions. These are public records made available by the state for inspection and copying. Every record we publish can be independently verified against the issuing agency's own licence lookup.

We do not purchase data from consumer data brokers, and we do not compile profiles on individuals beyond the business contact details the state itself publishes.

What we collect about subscribers

What we don't do

Marketing email

We send business-to-business email in compliance with the CAN-SPAM Act. Every message identifies us, includes our physical postal address, and carries a working unsubscribe link. Unsubscribe requests are honoured within ten business days and usually within one. We do not sell or transfer the address of anyone who has unsubscribed.

Removal requests

If you appear in one of our reports and want your record excluded, email us and we will remove you from future reports. We will do this regardless of whether the law requires it.

Note that we cannot remove your record from the underlying government database — that is held by the issuing agency, and any correction to the record itself has to go through them.

Retention

Subscriber records are kept while the subscription is active and for as long afterwards as tax and accounting rules require. Public records extracts are retained as historical snapshots so we can identify week-on-week changes; that is the core of the service.

Security

We use reputable providers for email, payments and hosting, and we keep the amount of personal data we hold deliberately small. No system is perfectly secure, and we don't claim otherwise.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will say so in the weekly report before the change takes effect.
